SVP of Sales

$240k–$310k OTE on a $10 SKU. Bring a calculator.

FolderMD is a $10, one-time Mac app that takes the markdown your agents write and puts it in a calm reading pane instead of an 88-column terminal funeral. Claude, Codex, and Cursor already do the writing. We do the typesetting. You, apparently, are going to do Enterprise.

This is a real job. We checked.

The product

You are selling a 3 MB universal binary to people who already paid for six AI subscriptions and still cannot find last Tuesday's refactor plan. Our ICP is a staff engineer who has just whispered “oh no” at a 2,000-word design doc that vanished into scroll-back. Our sales cycle is: they hit Buy, Apple takes a cut, we send a DMG. There is no procurement portal. There is no security questionnaire. If someone asks for a SOC 2, you may send them the About box.

What you will do

  • Build a full-funnel motion for a product whose current funnel is a yellow Buy button.
  • Open the Fortune 500 on a $10 one-time license. Yes, we know. That is why the title is SVP.
  • Invent a pricing page with seats, tiers, and a mysterious “Business” column that is the same app with a receipt that says Business.
  • Staff a sales team of one (you), an SDR who is also you, and a solutions engineer who will be Kirill if he is not making coffee.
  • Travel to conferences and demo a folder. A literal folder. Watch their faces.
  • Negotiate multi-year agreements for software that costs less than the lunch you are negotiating over.
  • Report weekly pipeline in a FolderMD document, as God and the agents intended.

What you will not do

  • Sell a chatbot. We already have those. They work for us, unpaid.
  • Quote “usage-based.” The usage is: you open a file.
  • Ask engineering for Salesforce. We have a folder.

You might be a fit if

You have sold developer tools, or you have tried to explain a Mac utility to a VP and lived. You have closed six-figure deals and are ready to apply that energy to a SKU whose entire TAM currently fits in one TestFlight group. You own a Mac. You have opinions about hyphenation. You can say “it’s a reader for agent markdown” without laughing, or you laugh and then still say it.

This is not a joke title on a joke product. FolderMD is a real app for a real, slightly embarrassing problem: the machines write us novels and we read them like error logs. We need someone who can look a CRO in the eye and sell them a place to put the novels.

Apply with a short note about the last thing you sold that should not have needed a sales team, and why you sold it anyway.
